Still in my craft room sharing the Orangeand Yellow goodness!

Great two shelf high spice rack I found at a garage sale. I stripped it and hubby attempted to paint it for me. He didn’t get around to finishing it though so only the back is completely yellow. I need to fill these jars with something!

A box of the kids crayons - wow there is lot of orange and yellow in there. I think this is two boxes of crayons? I always go nuts when school supplies are on sale and buy bunches of boxes of crayons.

Scrapbook paper - I admit I am not a scrapper, this is in the “for sale” pile in my office. The black under the paper? That’s the lid to the container holding all of the scrap stuff. TONS of it considering I can’t do it!

That’s it for the office/craft room. I am planning on creating at least one item a week for the PS project. I am swapping cards with a couple of friends so that’s going to be this week’s project - a few handmade cards. I’ll post pics and an update later!

I found Project Spectrum not too long ago and knew I had to join. What a great way to focus on something, to really look around your environment and see what you have. And to create!

April is Orangeand Yellow.

After looking around my space, I was surprised to find so much orange and yellow. That’s what happens when you focus on looking for that color.

I started with my desk, bottom to top ~ the stripes contain one strip of orange (it is a box of cards), the yellow-orange of a crayola box (twistable crayons), orange binding (top of small notebook from Target), kodak yellow (disposable camera needing to be developed).

Turning around to look at my bookcase I found my bead girl bag (LOVE it!) ~

and my box of cards (homemade and otherwise) ~

and a small three drawer box I found at Tuesday Morning ~

Okay so the office/craft area is 90% cleaned up, organized and ready to be used. I need to finish that today (after grocery shopping!) so I can get to crafting. I have a hundred and three ideas of what I want need to create! Having a cluttered space never feels good so I am super happy that I got it all taken care of.

I do need shelves on the walls - I need to get some of my “stuff” up off the ground and higher where I can see it. I have a couple different types of glass jars that I am going to fill and I’d like them out of little peoples reach. LOL One is a spice rack and jar set that I found at a garage sale and then my Dad gave me a box of old Ball jars. That box hadn’t been opened for at least 10 years! I am not sure what I am going to put in them, but something so I can display.

I’m thinking I’ll stop at Lowe’s to see what is available. I don’t want anything too expensive and nothing gaudy to take away from the jars and contents.
