Christmas Ideas
*sigh* School and work have been so crazy lately that the crafting I am doing is only with the kids! Okay that kind of crafting is always fun. But I can’t wait to get back to being creative for myself. And yeah I am so glad I don’t have to make my holiday cards this year. LOL Cheating and using last years cards is so totally okay with me now!
But I did sign up for this FREE Christmas Crafts and Recipes at WaitingForXmas.com that my friends Nicole and Susanne put together. So far I found two great fall crafts and an awesome crockpot recipe. And I’ve only received the first two emails!
We were at gymnastics this morning and I was chatting with the other Moms about what holiday activities are going on in town. This is our first real season here and I wanted to do some things. But the three Moms I was talking too, wow they were totally stressed and talking about how busy they were running from here to there all day and on the weekends too. I love this time of year, the baking and visiting and decorating, all of it. And I don’t need the stress of running around all day long. I’m sure we will check out a few of the activities, but sheesh, I can’t see us being SO busy all day. Heck, I’m busy enough as it is!
Which is just another reason why tips and tricks coming directly to my email is completely welcome!Head on over to WaitingForXmas.com and sign up today. Remember, it’s free!

Neglect
I’ve been so busy I’ve neglected this blog! Which of course means I haven’t been all that crafty lately.
I feel like I need to create or I will burst.
Of course, my homework is done, the house is clean and Thanksgiving plans have been finalized (despite me being shocked it was in a week rather then two LOL). More house needs to be cleaned, groceries bought, etc. But today, or at least this morning, we will be making a slew of cards. Just for fun, as my holiday cards are already done (sshhh, I’m cheating and sending out cards I made last year…I didn’t send any out since we moved during December!).
Alright, just wanted to say hello to all and to all a good crafty day.
More soon ~ and with pictures!

My Craft ADD ™ revisited
LOL @ the ™ (trademark) on Craft ADD. I work online and this summer I participated in this challenge and every time the guys did a video, they would say whatever phrase and then “tm” - it was sort of a running joke but also sort of true because of the issues (both good and bad) they had in business before. Anyway, just a little explanation because I think it’s funny.
Anyway, my Craft ADD ™ is L-O-V-I-N-G crochet!!!!! I know most of the other crafts can be done quickly and get practically instant results. But for whatever reason, I’ve been able to breeze through crocheting. Seriously, this is awesome.
I showed the purple scarf the other day right, I made a little bit shorter and little bit skinnier one for my daughter (same color). Then I made a regular sized one for my other SIL. And then today I made one side of a wrist warmer for myself. I am LOVING this!!! I love all the crafts that I do - what’s the point otherwise right? - but I didn’t realize how fast I could be with crochet. Okay I do make it a point to craft often during the day - I will watch an episode of tv and crochet the entire time. Or just sit with my husband while he watches tv and crochet. I even took the crochet in the car a couple of times!
I have one other wrist warmer to make and then I need a scarf for myself. I need to find a pattern that isn’t as heavy as the one I’ve been using since I want to use the same yarn.
I also want to find a pattern for a baby blanket - I have two new nephews that “need” blankets. LOL I thought I found one but the instructions want me to crochet in the round. Maybe I can’t read the instructions clearly enough, but I don’t want a round blanket, just a square one. I’ve found a few patterns out there but admit I am still searching.
