I love going out to eat here because everything is presented so beautifully. This is delicious chocolate moelleux, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and berries.

Parfait Dessert – French Color Palettes

February 11, 2015 by Tsoniki Leave a Comment

When my Dad was visiting we had a great time showing him around the city and eating good food. We live down the block from a chocolate shop that offers parfait desserts and they look to pretty to eat! Of course, we did eat them and they were as delicious as they look.

Backyard – French Color Palettes

February 4, 2015 by Tsoniki Leave a Comment

Sometimes we walk down an alley or a one way street and we can see beautiful backyards. It is often really quiet too, so I imagine living in a house with this backyard would be so calming and enjoyable.

Quimper Church – French Color Palettes

January 28, 2015 by Tsoniki Leave a Comment

When my Dad visited last spring, we took a day trip to Quimper, a great town about an hour away from us. We took a bus and loved walking around all day. The church is beautiful and had a nice area with benches for you to enjoy a few minutes of quiet.

Carnac Stones – French Color Palettes

January 21, 2015 by Tsoniki Leave a Comment

During our camping vacation (the French version of camping) (which means staying in a small mobile trailer at a campsite that has a huge, wide variety of activities for kids, a restaurant, bar, multiple swimming areas, and it is set up in a way that you have a lot of privacy) we went on a tour in town. We were able to see the Carnac Stones. This was just really exciting to see – the stones are prehistoric, some as old as 4500 B.C., and there are hundreds. They are set up in various rows and there is a lot of different research that talks about what they could have been used for or what they mean. I prefer the legends to any scientific finding, as true as any of them may be.

One legend says that a saint was being pursued and upon reaching the sea, he turned around and turned the army following him to stone, which are now the monoliths.
